These are in a vague order of preference, but I'll love whatever you choose!
- Something during the six-odd months between wrapping filming and their reunions for promotions as the show aired. Zhang Zhehan went on a trip, they both filmed other shows (Flaming Heart & Retro Detective), and probably didn't have a lot of time to meet up. Established relationship or not, I don't mind!
- If you wanted to lean into angst, post-813 fic where Gong Jun can't meet up with Zhang Zhehan, and other forms of communication is all they have. I'd love if this was established relationship, but whatever works for you!

- If you wanted to do a Modern AU, that could be really fun! Especially if ZZS is stupid enough to give WKX his number and WKX won't stop blowing up his phone.
- Canon-setting, if either ZZS or WKX go on a trip by themselves (could be canon-verse happy ending on the mountain or an AU where they live in Siji Manor) and send correspondence back home.

- After they say goodbye at the end of the film, how do they keep in touch? Qingming has the ability to teleport wherever he wants, so does this come into it, or does he deliberately not use this? Similarly, Boya uses the magic ears, so do they use these, or chose to use a more traditional format for keeping in touch? Do the spirit guardians act as posties??
- Could also be done in the form of mission reports to someone (new emperor?) from both Boya and Qingming, or another Yin-Yang Master, which would be a fun opportunity to see their different approaches to writing reports like this.

- Similar to above, I think mission reports would be a fun approach to this, again giving a way to show different characterisation for these two. We don't get much in the Silmarillion itself, so feel free to play around with it!
- The Book of Lost Tales Vol 2 says that both Glorfindel and Echthelion were part of Aredhel's travelling party when she left Gondolin, and I'd love to see something featuring this, with the use of journal entries from one or the other (or both!).
